In most cases, you need to apply to start from the beginning of the programme. A few programmes do, however, offer the possibility to transfer through an application to a later semester of the programme. Please note though, that we may not offer your subject in English and that proficiency in Swedish may be required to be eligible for the programme you are interested in. This means that your options vary depending on the subject you are studying.
If you are admitted to any programme or course at Kristianstad University, you may apply for validation and transfer of your previous studies.

The application deadline for 2022 has passed, however, some programmes and courses still accept late applications. It is impossible to say what your chances are as a late applicant. It depends on the popularity of the programme and how many accepted students, and then applicants on the waiting list, decline their place. Late applications are prioritised by the date that they are received. Find more information about late application and reapplying at universityadmissions.se.
Apply for programmes and courses at www.antagning.se or www.universityadmissions.se. 
Programmes and courses can be open for late applications in both the first and second admission round. The application deadline for the first admission round was 17 January 2022 and the application deadline for the second admission round was 19 April 2022.
If you applied with a late application in the first round, you will receive your admission results at your UniversityAdmissions.se account during the spring.
If you applied before the deadline in the second admission round you will receive your admissions result at your UniversityAdmissions.se account on 12 July. If you applied for a programme or course in the second admission round you have until 21 June to submit your application documents.

It depends. If you are covered by the EU’s Temporary Protection Directive and left Ukraine after 24 February 2022 and come to Sweden and get a permit here on the basis of the Directive, you will be exempt from paying tuition fees during this permit period. However, if you are not covered by the Directive, you are normally required to pay tuition fees as a non-EU/EEA student.

No decision has been made regarding scholarships for students from Ukraine, however, students covered by the EU’s Temporary Protection Directive do not pay tuition fees. If any decision is made, our website will be updated with new information.

There are a few other options besides taking IELTS or TOEFL tests. If possible, you can also take the tests in other countries. We have a national application system in Sweden and we follow rules decided at the national level. Therefore, in order to make any new exemptions or conditions for applicants, we need a change at the national level. We are currently reviewing the options together with other Swedish universities. If we can offer any newly approved tests or new exemptions in the next application round, we will of course update our websites with this information.
